I agree that it definitely helped her language development and prevented so many problems because she was able to communicate with us from an early age! We let it go as she began to speak so well. But we still sign "Love you" at times!JustForDaisyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08811221502677859152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-959688076726147759.post-79274731770475374092013-01-07T19:43:46.064-08:002013-01-07T19:43:46.064-08:00I have to admit, once my daughter began speaking w...I have to admit, once my daughter began speaking we did slack off a bit, but we had the motivation to continue on with it for her uncle. The sign books we have from Bilby Publishing are actually in UK sign, they just place a small sticker in to correct any differences to Auslan.Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10106478163283307609noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-959688076726147759.post-83920280444250726092013-01-07T18:35:40.802-08:002013-01-07T18:35:40.802-08:00I had such good intentions with Pebble, I bought t...I had such good intentions with Pebble, I bought the baby sign books and we did a few, but then I lost motivation. Her language development was amazing super early, so before long there was no need for sign. With bub #2 on the way I definitely plan to teach baby sign again, hopefully with more success this time!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13823564682558900328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-959688076726147759.post-17249674687211394002013-01-07T06:29:43.139-08:002013-01-07T06:29:43.139-08:00This is a lovely post and one close to my heart as...This is a lovely post and one close to my heart as we have a grandmother who contracted Polio as a girl and was made deaf by the illness. As she is Scottish we have had to learn the UK way of signing, but I have noticed similarities between the two languages :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15049375050001179780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-959688076726147759.post-61065696246655005192013-01-07T02:36:41.842-08:002013-01-07T02:36:41.842-08:00I wish I had taught my girls sign language. Not only would it be great for if they ever met someone that is deaf but it would be a nice and secret way to communicate to once another. I think teaching your child to use sign language is just beautiful Julie and I bet their uncle really appreciates it too!Penny Whitehousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12440295391414730068noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-959688076726147759.post-8533362718638982432013-01-06T18:30:07.613-08:002013-01-06T18:30:07.613-08:00Great!
